Together we created Subpar Pale Ale, a beer that is just as underwhelming as the National Parks to which it pays homage. This Earth Day, we partnered with Subpar Parks – a satirical illustration project that combines natural wonders around the world and the one-star reviews people have left online for them. But then, that’s how some people feel about a perfectly balanced pale ale-one of the greatest beer styles ever made. How someone can spend a day in the Great Smoky Mountains and find the views "terrible" is beyond us. The first beer from this foeder was a mimosa-inspired sour that we're so excited to bring to you nationwide in 2021. At that point, Lauren, who names all our foeders, gave it the name "Dominga: Goddess of Brunch". While sipping mimosas on a sunny Sunday morning, the Foeder Crafter folks said they'd love for us to have that foeder & graciously gifted it to us. It was modern, charming, beautifully crafted, and a perfect contrast to the towering, 30-foot-tall foeders at New Belgium. There was a tiny, egg-shaped foeder (oak barrel used to acidify beer) that stood out to her. In 2017 our Wood Cellar Blender, Lauren Limbach, was visiting our barrel maker friends at Foeder Crafters of America in St. Inspired by bottomless sips in the sun, this citrusy-sweet sour ale shines with flavors of Mexican Orange, Tangerine, pressed Calamansi fruit and is blended with wood-aged golden sour. They are also back and forth in the studio working on their new record “Rollin’ On” set to release this spring. The band now resides in Nashville, Tennessee and are currently touring and promoting their latest record “WATTAGE”. ![]() They have also been featured in major publications like SPIN Magazine, Pitchfork and Huffpost. Their music has since been featured on Network TV shows such as The O.C., How I Met Your Mother, and Bored to Death. Their first single, "Do You Love Me?" was released in April of that year. The group garnered national attention in 2007 when they signed to major indie label Dead Oceans. Their music is heavily influenced by the vocal harmony styles and production of The Beach Boys, as well as classic rock and roll arrangements made popular by The Beatles, Chuck Berry, Phil Spector, The Zombies, The Monkees and The Byrds. They feature a rotating cast of musicians, led by singer songwriter and producer, Jason Brewer. ![]() ![]() Originating from the coast of South Carolina in 2005, The Explorers Club are American pop rock at its best.
